The Turn
It's over two years (and two more LotR movies) since we first saw this, but it's still one of the great moments in the history of acting. To give an idea of how gradual this is, these 38 screencaps are less than 1% of the frames we see onscreen, but they still seem to make almost a seamless movement if watched in order. From Frodo's void expression of nothingness when he begins to turn, through the almost accusatory look we (and Aragorn) see aimed at us when Frodo's eyes first meet the camera, to the grief beyond words in the final closeup, it stopped people's breath when first seen in the theater, and continues to do so today. That's all I'm going to say about these screencaps. They shouldn't be interrupted by anything, even numbers:
