...anything unnatural.
One of those little things I wasn't expecting to find--but shouldn't have been surprised by. Someone wanted a specific frame from the shot of Frodo hiding under the table at Bag End (actually, coming out from under the table and standing up). Since I didn't know which frame she was looking for, I did a whole series of them, and ended up with a great example of Elijah's gradually changing expressions. Any of the frames makes a great snapshot, but watching the series as a slide show or a quick scroll down the page is even more revealing.
I think what I like most about it is that the changing expression is so true to life--affection and annoyance increase together. Isn't that how it often is between people who know each other well? But how many actors could have shown us the link between those emotions so naturally? My favorite part of the shot is seen in approximately frames 14-20; Frodo's fear is gone, and he doesn't seem aware enough yet of his annoyance to project it consciously, as he does in the later frames, making for a softer look at his affection for Sam. .
Frames 33-40 are a little "eyebrow acting" bonus.
