Osgiliath--On the Steps
In the first few caps on this page, I think Frodo's still basically in "dead hobbit" mode--that is, the Nazgul has knocked him completely out of commission. He doesn't seem to react to Sam until frame 4.
One of the most amazing things about the part of the scene in which Frodo is standing on the top of this wall is the look of it--one I don't think we see anywhere else in the first two movies. It's more than just the color being filtered, although that's certainly a big part of it. But, in addition, the lighting on Frodo's face is altered (diffused, possibly?) to give that marble statuary look. If anyone knows anything about how this was done, please let me know and I'll share it here.

Of course, Frodo's cry of pain above is mostly because of the Ring and is probably from mental and spiritual "attack." But, if you start at this point and scroll up, it's easier to see how some of it could be from Sam's physical attack--especially from his hold around Frodo's neck. It's almost as if you can see Frodo take a breath in the first couple of frames as the hold is "released." (Yeah, it's almost as fun as making Sting jump back into Frodo's hand by scrolling the sword fall backwards.)

The following caps are after the tumble down the steps. It's hard to see anything during the tumble, and there's not a lot to comment on here. But I kind of enjoyed seeing that, since the power of the Ring isn't "real," it took a joint effort for Frodo to overcome Sam. In pics 38-40, you can see Sean holding onto Elijah's cloak and pulling him over on top of him. (Naturally, this isn't obvious when the film is moving at full speed.)
