Ash Wednesday: Son
Not surprisingly, this is the first set of Ash Wednesday screencaps requested. It's one of the most touching moments in a wonderfully acted scene, where Sean (Elijah) is meeting the son he didn't know he had. The dark "shadow" in the center of the frame is Grace (Rosario Dawson); some wisps of her hair show right above "Little Sean's" forehead.
These caps are gently lightened--the originals are so dark it's almost impossible to make out the figures, but more lightening than I've done here starts to distort the picture. The scene is taking place in the back of a moving vehicle, and when you're actually watching the movie you have the advantage of seeing the scene alter between light and dark as the vehicle moves past streetlights, which makes it easier to "get your bearings." I've found that sometimes a dark background makes it easier to see what's happening in a dark picture--hope that helps here.
Very nice set of pics to "scroll down." (And Daddy doesn't drop the kid's hand as quickly as it looks in the last few caps: I took out some frames there to keep this page from getting even longer than it is!)
